- Salary Conversion Range is $120-140K, DOE
- 100% onsite in Irving, TX (NO relocation; NO remote work options)
Summary:
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable & robust data pipelines in Azure, ensuring performance, availability, and data integrity.
- Implement API-based integrations and workflows to accommodate increasing data volume and complexity across systems.
- Collaborate with analysts, report developers, and stakeholders to optimize data models and improve accessibility in BI tools (PowerBI).
- Engineer processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
- Partner with business and technology teams to define and evolve long-term data platform architecture.
- Implement and maintain data quality frameworks, including lineage, metadata, and anomaly detection systems.
- Identify and integrate data sources, ensuring data compatibility, cleanliness, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Microsoft DP-203 certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture, pipeline development, or related fields.
- 5 years managing data migrations and transformations across enterprise systems.
- 3 years building and deploying pipelines in Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Event Hubs).
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
- 3 years working in an Agile/DevOps environment, including CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with modern data quality and governance tools (e.g., Azure Purview).
- Strong experience with dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and database design.
- Proven expertise transforming raw data into structured, valuable datasets that drive business decisions.
- Process-driven mindset with a focus on data accuracy, security, and governance.
