What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative position at Pets Aloud Veterinary?
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients/patients upon arrival and guide them to the appropriate room
- Greet clients warmly in person, over the phone, and via email, addressing inquires and scheduling appointments
- Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, examination and surgery rooms
- Assist in holding, restraining, lifting and moving patients during exams/procedures
- Assist in collecting blood and urine samples, alongside the Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician/(s)
- Provide basic in-hospital treatment such as subcutaneous fluids and injections
- Communicate with owners on admit/discharge instructions for procedures and surgeries
- Communicate with clients on essential and basic animal health care
- Maintain accurate client and patient records, process payments, and handle insurance claims
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward clients
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least one (1) year of previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Ability to handle and restrain various sized animals when needed
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software
Part Time Availability - Must be available Fridays.
