Position Summary
Seeking a highly skilled P6 Turnaround Scheduler. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives, resource availability, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong turnaround experience within refining or petrochemical environments and thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes shutdown events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated turnaround schedules using Primavera P6
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, operations, contractors, and leadership to define work scope and sequencing
- Ensure all activities are logically linked with accurate durations, constraints, and dependencies
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and opportunities
- Support turnaround readiness reviews, including schedule validation and risk mitigation planning
- Track progress during execution, update schedules daily, and provide variance analysis
- Generate and communicate daily/weekly reports, including lookaheads, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Facilitate schedule review meetings and provide recommendations for optimization
- Support resource loading, cost tracking, and earned value analysis
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of scheduling experience in refining, petrochemical, or similar environments
- 3 years of turnaround or shutdown experience
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of turnaround work processes, sequencing, and constraints
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work packages, and project scopes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
