Petroplan is partnering with a full service civil engineering, land planning, surveying and construction administration firm with offices across NC, TX & FL. My client is expanding their services into the Energy Sector, and with this they are looking for an Energy Director to join their team in Lewisville TX. My client has been operational for over 45 years, their reputation is one of excellence, prioritizing long term client relationships and stewardship in their communities. Culture is at the forefront of the business, and this is one of the main qualities that will dominate this executive level position.
They already have a presence in the Energy Sector specializing in projects across Substation Design, Transmission & Distribution, and Operations Centers. Due to Client demand, they are now targeting expansion into large scale 765kv Transmission projects, Grid Modernization, Data Centers and Battery Storage projects, which the Energy Director will be responsible for.
As the Energy Director it is essential that you have a demonstrable background in the Energy Sector in Texas, bringing with you relationships that you can introduce to the business along with developing Energy projects within the firms existing client base. You will be responsible for providing direction for market growth through business development, investment planning, new and existing energy client performance, strategic hiring and revenue growth.
The role will encompass working with all the verticals to develop full service energy teams and strategies, enhancing the offering of the Energy Sector and expanding project pipelines. You will be responsible for overseeing project execution and providing technical and operational leadership on all projects.

What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (PE licensure in FL and TX highly preferred)
10 years of experience in the energy sector with demonstrated business development success
Established relationships within utility and renewable energy networks
Experience building and managing cross-functional teams across multiple geographies
Strong understanding of entitlement, permitting, and regulatory frameworks
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Relocation will be provided if the candidate is not in the local area. Travel will be office wide covering NC, TX & FL, and you will be expected to organize and travel to industry events. The role will be 4 days in the office in TX, and 1 day from home.
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
