My Client, a global giant in the Gas Turbine Engineering industry, is hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer III for a 1 year W2 Contract. This role is 100% on site, to be considered you must be living in a commutable distance of the client site in Greenville SC. The contract is 40 hours a week and is first shift.
Essential Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 6 years of relevant work experience
- 3D Cad Modeling
- ANSYS Finite Element Analysis
- Fracture Mechanics Analysis
- Low Cycle Fatigue
- Microsoft Office
- Rotor Design
- Siemens NX
Responsibilities:
Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys
Perform typical post processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, summarize bolted joint behavior, strength evaluations, etc.
Pull CAD models from PLM
Work CAD models in Siemens NX
Summarize and document analytical results
Support automation of typical tasks with Python as needed
Support defect evaluation through analysis
Present on routine project status meetings
Strong communication skills
Highly collaborative and works well in team environment
