What You Will Do
The Physical Therapist assesses patients, formulates a plan of care and provides direct patient care services in accordance with the law and state practice act. Services must be ordered by a physician. The Physical Therapist also supervises and delegates appropriate functions to the Physical Therapist Assistant or Rehab Technician.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Required Skills
Basic computer skills, good interpersonal skills, basic organizational and time management skills, basic knowledge and skills to care for the physical needs of the population served.
Preferred Skills
Advanced skills/certifications in specialty areas, such as NDT, geriatric, orthopedics, etc.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
Current Texas license as a Physical Therapist and BLS
Required Experience
Work/educational experience in the healthcare field
Preferred Experience
One year experience as a Physical Therapist in a health care setting.
