What You Will Do
The PSC Clinic Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to nursing staff, ensuring quality medical care by nursing staff, ensuring availability of medical supplies in the delivery of services, and managing change. Staff development duties include coaching, motivating, scheduling, evaluating, training and developing clinical employees. Serves as a resource for nursing staff. Routinely assists the physicians, providers, and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients in the clinic. May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean/maintain medical equipment. Works closely with the Business Office supervisor. Works closely with the Practice Manger, leadership team, providers, staff and patients assuring satisfaction and efficiency.
Required Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Required Skills
Skill in nursing practices associated with the delivery of quality nursing care and duties assigned to this role. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment. Supervision of employees and effective communication with a wide range of people. Ability to work in a team environment. Understanding of office workflows. Computer literacy and familiarity with operations of basic office equipment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Athena, Meditech, and/or other electronic health records software, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Required Licensure /Registration /Certification
Current RN license.
Preferred Licensure /Registration /Certification
Current BLS
Required Experience
At least two years of nursing experience; supervisory or lead experience. Possess the knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care under the direction of the providers and supervisory staff.
Preferred Experience
At least three years of nursing experience, 2 of which were in a supervisory capacity in a medical office setting.
