- Create, edit and maintain all NDE related system operating procedures, work instructions and program documents, ensuring NDE procedures adhere to the latest industry and customer requirements.
- Maintain and approve written practice for control and administration of NDE personnel training, examination and certification (reference SNT-TC-1A and NAS410);
- Train, develop and monitor technical proficiency of NDE personnel, including auditing and testing to ensure compliance to internal, industry and customer requirements.
- Develop, qualify, approve and designate NDE procedures and techniques.
- Participate in customer and certification audits.
- Managing internal operations requests for support in a timely manner
- Interface with engineering to review job requirements and plan NDE operations.
- Provide NDE technical expertise to internal and external customers.
- Conduct planning of jobs
- Attend meetings to support operations -- production control planning, pre-release meetings
- Assist with problem solving shop floor operational issues related to NDE
- Ensure support operational needs, including overtime required
- Evaluate skill level and performance of personnel per company process and policy.
- Investigate any anomalies-- Non-Conformances (NC's), job overruns, accidents, incidents, define and implement appropriate corrective actions.
