Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or mobile payments with precision
• Assist customers with product demonstrations and upselling opportunities to enhance their purchase experience
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-presented
• Manage inventory by conducting stock checks, replenishing products, and supporting stock rotation efforts
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support cashiering duties by handling returns, exchanges, and resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills to support team members when needed
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and inventory management
• Strong communication skills to engage customers effectively and collaborate with team members
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs more effectively
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos to boost sales opportunities
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions at all touchpoints
• Basic math skills for daily cash register operations and sales calculations
• Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales potential while ensuring customer satisfaction
