Are you looking for practical and dynamic on-the-job experience to make your resume stand out? Do you want real mining experience operating heavy equipment and being involved in plant operations?
Pete Lien & Sons, Inc. is a regional producer of construction aggregate, ready mix concrete, lime, and industrial minerals. There is currently one opening for a motivated Summer Intern to support our operations in Rapid City, SD location. The position works 10-hour shifts with a Monday – Thursday day shift schedule. Applicants should be enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a focus on construction, engineering, finance, or business. First year students are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include supporting mining and processing plant operations. Specific daily tasks will cover a wide range depending on the experience and background of the successful candidate. These tasks may include:
- Project work as appropriate
- Data collection and interpretation
- Plant inspection and auditing
- Water truck operation
- Skid steer operation
- Forklift operation
- Stationary equipment operation and maintenance
This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter who is willing to work outdoors doing physical work and operating equipment.
