What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Maintenance Mechanic (L1035) position at PETE LIEN & SONS, INC?
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic provides daily maintenance support to the plant operations on mobile equipment, including on-highway trucks and trailers, off-road heavy equipment and light vehicles.
- Responsible for services & repairs on company vehicles from light vehicles to heavy mining equipment. Performs on-going preventative maintenance program for vehicles, analyzes and identifies sources of mechanical failures and repairs. Predicts potential failures to vehicles based on historical and operating data, monitors and maintains fluid levels for vehicles, storage tanks and containers, and assists with major repairs as needed.
- Possesses his/her own tools, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills.
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment troubleshooting repair experience required.
- Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment troubleshooting and repair preferred.
