Pete Lien & Sons, Inc. is seeking a salaried Process Engineer who will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency and productivity of the operation, performing project work on new and existing systems at the mineral processing operations in the southern region, and assisting the Plant Manager with the management of daily operations. The role reports directly to the Plant Manager.
This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently with limited direction. Strong computer skills are required along with knowledge of industrial plant operation and control.
The person in this role will work with other Pete Lien & Sons leaders to promote safety, monitor environmental compliance, ensure production meets quality standards, improve plant process, develop standard operating procedures, and initiate, design, and implement process improvement projects.
Daily responsibilities for this position include:
- · Gathering and reporting plant data
- · Developing, implementing, and commissioning projects
- · Monitoring daily process KPIs
- · Streamlining and improving plant operations
- · Drafting SOPs and reference material for plant operations
- · Developing plant automation and process control
The Process Engineer’s work schedule is typically over forty-five hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexible scheduling and some after-hours/weekend work are required based on operational requirements.
