What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Handlers - Dog Attendants position at Pet Castle Resort?

Perfect job for any dog lover! Must be able to monitor and handle very active dogs. You will be handling dogs as large as 150 lbs. or as small as 3lbs. You will be indoor or outdoor, weather permitting. You will be required to clean up after dogs both inside and outside of their play areas including cleaning dog rooms, dog bowls and any basic need a dog may have. You will be required to maintain a safe and protected environment for the dogs.

We are looking for responsible and reliable employees that can maintain a good work ethic. An individual who is physically able to be on their feet for extended periods of time as this position does not require you to sit. This role is physically active and requires your undivided attention to maintain a safe and healthy environment. THIS IS NOT A JOB WHERE YOU PET DOGS ALL DAY.

Hours offered are part-time only and can be as early as 6am, with shifts ranging from early morning availability to afternoon availability. Weekends are also required for this position.

We hire pet lovers who enjoy being around animals. It is a fun environment with first and foremost maintaining the health and safety of every animal that enters our facility. Those that are experienced in this kind of environment can receive top dollar. This all depends on work ethic and experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to be on your feet for a 5-hour time frame
  • Ability to maintain the safety and well-being of dogs within your assigned yard.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or Holidays
  • Ability to understand dog behavior
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, including but not limited to efficiency of cleanliness in your workspace/yard
  • Ability to pay attention to dog's personality, behavior and providing the utmost care, safety and well-being.
  • Strong attention to detail

Summary

As a Dog Handler/Dog Attendant, you will be essential in ensuring the well-being and care of dogs in our facility. Reporting to the kennel manager, your core skills in paying attention to detail and abilities will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every dog is imperative.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
