Perspectives Corporation is hiring immediately for Part-Time and Full-Time Direct Support Professionals with shifts available in South County, RI.

Perspectives Corporation desires compassionate, creative, and flexible leaders who are interested in becoming Direct Support Professionals to make a positive impact on their community by working with people who have developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Positions are available in our Community-Based Programs, with daytime hours and some early evening availability preferred. Shifts typically fall between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The Direct Support Professional's role is assisting people in becoming active members of their community and in maintaining daily living skills. You'll engage the people we support in a variety of social settings, helping them to achieve their goals while creating opportunities for greater independence.
We require a favorable criminal record check, a safe driving record and access to a personal & insured vehicle. High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building and maintaining friendships and relationships
- Practice financial skills (budgeting and making purchases)
- Transporting individuals to work, appointments, and outings
- Promoting health & wellness (help making healthy choices and reminding individuals to take their medications)
- Exploring recreational activities that reflect the individual’s interests
