We are looking for a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician to join our Adult Services - Behavioral Health Services to join our team of professionals.
This is a mobile position that provides direct services, as well as support and oversight in the delivery of clinical services by care givers, to address behavioral excesses & deficits, social and emotional needs, as well as to improve community participation, inclusion, and quality of life for Individuals served. It includes participation in rotating 24/7 on call coverage and service delivery in a variety of locations including telehealth, in home, in community, and in congregate care settings.
Facilitates clinical best practices to optimize the wellbeing and social functioning with adults and youth with IDD and additional disabilities using education, facilitation skills, behavior planning, and advocacy to obtain these goals as reflected in each Individual’s ISP, working collaboratively as part of a Team that may include family members, natural supports, and community resources, care providers, management and nursing. Advocates for the best interests of each Individual in developing their personal potential, quality of and satisfaction in life, involvement in the community given unique resources and circumstances. Maintains records as required by Agency policy and State regulations. Works with autonomy and independence, prioritizes needs and manages time effectively.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in psychology, social work, education, ABA or related field and eligibility to be licensed in RI at the highest level: LICSW, LMHC, BCBA, PH.D, or CRC
- Broad based of knowledge including: functional assessment, treatment planning & program development.
- Experience working with people who have Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD), Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other mental health issues in a variety of settings.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with support Team members working to build the capacity of care providers and others working directly with the individual.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
