We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and technically strong Senior Traffic Engineer to help lead transportation planning, traffic operations, and infrastructure improvement initiatives within a rapidly growing community.

This role plays a critical part in improving traffic flow, enhancing roadway safety, supporting economic development, and planning for future transportation needs. The successful candidate will work closely with public works leaders, developers, consultants, contractors, public agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders to evaluate transportation systems, review development impacts, and implement infrastructure improvements that support long-term growth.

• Multimodal Transportation Planning (Pedestrian & Bicycle Facilities)

• Community Engagement & Public Presentations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in traffic engineering, transportation engineering, or transportation planning.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Public Works experience.
• Municipal, County, State, or Public Agency transportation experience.
• Experience with traffic operations, signal systems, transportation planning, and development review.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred.
• Experience managing transportation infrastructure and capital improvement projects.
