- Conducting chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components.
- Analyzing blood cells through microscopic techniques, including counting and identifying cells.
- Ensuring proper operation of analyzers and laboratory equipment by calibrating, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining inventories.
- Evaluating new equipment and techniques to improve laboratory processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Associate’s in Medical Lab Technology.
- Certification eligibility (MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP) with the goal to achieve certification within the first year.
