We are seeking a registered nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team in diagnosing and treating patients' responses to health issues. Responsibilities include:
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive multi-system assessments, identify deviations from normal, and perform discharge evaluations.
- Planning: Develop individualized care plans, coordinate care and discharge activities, delegate tasks appropriately, and prioritize patient needs.
- Implementation: Initiate protocols for medical or surgical management, execute physician plans, accurately document care, perform procedures correctly, and administer medications safely. Address emergency situations as needed.
- Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of care, response to treatment, and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Minimum nine months of RN experience.
- One year of current emergency department experience or completion of a relevant internship.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licenses and certifications: RN license, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric or life support certifications within specified timeframes.
- Basic computer keyboarding skills.
- Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC are preferred.
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
