Person Directed Supports Inc. is looking for a Director of Clinical Behavioral Supports. PDSI provides supports and services for Individuals with IDD and mental health diagnoses. The Director of Behavioral Health Services oversees the behavioral health department, Behavior Specialists, and provides important guidance and insight to develop support plans for the people we support. Our mission is to ensure the people we support live their lives to the fullest through person centered planning and guidance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
· Creates/promotes a culture centered on building self-directed lives with the people we support.
· Administers the agency’s behavioral services; supervises behavior support specialists; plans and directs behavioral service programs; provides leadership on behavioral issues and performs related work as required.
· Overall responsibility for the direction and management of behavioral services throughout the agency.
· Plans, organizes, and directs, and reviews all facets of the behavioral services; reviews policies, procedures, and methods used in behavioral service programs for effectiveness and consistency with PDSI goals and standards; develops new strategies, services, and programs based on PDSI direction; develops goals and objectives to accomplish agency goals; identifies potential problems and generates innovative and creative solutions.
· Develops, recommends, and implements new or revised policies, standard and procedures; monitors policies and procedures for compliance and quality standards.
· Promotes a positive working relationship with all employees.
· Provides leadership, direction, and oversight in the implementation of adult behavioral support service; supervises and directs the work of behavioral specialists; interviews, hires, evaluates, and disciplines behavior support staff.
· Participates as a member of the Restrictive Review Committee in the review, development, and implementation of restrictive procedures for carrying out PDSI goals and objectives.
· Assures that the behavior services department operates on the basis of sound fiscal ad quality management and maintains PSDI productivity standards.
· Establishes and maintains liaisons with representatives of SCO, AE, and State agencies to secure approval and funding for behavioral services.
· Develops agency trainings to provide information on positive approaches and related behavioral support trainings.
· Assures the Behavior Support Plans and related documentation is completed within a timely manner.
Assist with special projects and other assignments as requested by Person Directed Supports, Inc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Master Degree in Human Services or Social work (MSW) from an accredited College or University.
OR
-Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Behavior Specialist
-One year experience working with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
