Currently, we are seeking a VMware Administrator - Mid to Senior level - IBST Enterprise. This role supports a Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.
Job Description and Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Configuring and Maintaining VMware environment. Configuring and Maintaining Network Storage. Configuring and Maintaining Windows Servers. Troubleshoot tier 2-3 tickets for customers.
Basic Requirements: A mid-level has 3 or more years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position.
A senior has at least 10 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a MA/MS degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position.
VMware Administration, Windows Administration, and ACAS.
Education Requirements: Bachelors or Masters dependent upon level. Substitutions include Associate’s Degree plus 2 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. High school diploma or GED and/or a relevant technical certification plus 4 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years additional work experience may be
substituted for a Master’s Degree.
Certifications: VMware, Sec (8570).
Preferred Skills and Experience: Storage experience.
Security Clearance: Top Secret (must be a US Citizen)
Telework and Travel: On site 100%. < 5% travel.
Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
