Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, and cakes following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
- Package food items meticulously to ensure freshness and presentation quality
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety management protocols and sanitation standards
- Assist with food handling and preparation for catering events or restaurant service
- Support high-volume production needs while ensuring consistency in product quality
- Collaborate with team members to uphold food safety practices and recipe adherence at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong pie decorating skills with an eye for detail and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in pastry preparation techniques
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- Exceptional customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Previous catering or high-volume kitchen experience is preferred but not required
