Crew Superintendent - 100% Travel

Tusco is looking for an experienced Traveling Crew Superintendent to lead field operations on major perimeter security and construction projects across the country.

IMPORTANT:

• 100% TRAVEL IS REQUIRED (You do not have to live in or relocate to Alabama)
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the following pre-employment screenings:

• Physical examination
• Motor vehicle report

This is a 100% travel role. Crew Superintendents should expect to travel extensively and be away from home based on project schedules. This is not a local or home-daily position.

About the Role

Crew Superintendents are the primary onsite leaders for Tusco's field operations. You'll oversee crews working across project areas, coordinate manpower and materials, manage daily production, and partner closely with Project Superintendents, Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Our teams build perimeter security solutions that help protect people, critical infrastructure, government and military facilities, data centers, and other high-security environments across the country.

You'll:

• Lead and coordinate onsite crews and field operations
• Develop work schedules, assignments, and three-week lookahead plans
• Drive production and ensure work stays on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, and manpower
• Coordinate the work of tradespeople, laborers, subcontractors, and other professionals
• Read and execute construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Conduct safety and quality meetings, inspections, JSAs, and toolbox talks
• Monitor job-site safety and address violations or deficiencies
• Complete daily reports, progress reports, and required project documentation
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and budget variances to project leadership
• Partner with Project Managers, clients, GCs, architects, engineers, government officials, and subcontractors
• Approve timecards and manage time-off requests for assigned crews

What We're Looking For

• 5-10 years of construction supervision experience
• 5 years of fencing experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading construction crews and coordinating multiple work areas
• Experience with perimeter security, force protection, fencing, barricades, or similar construction preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
• Ability to operate heavy equipment
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore or similar construction software
• OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent) preferred/required based on project needs
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to pass required state and federal background checks
• Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
• Ability to access and navigate construction sites in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
