What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician, CCTV/ACP Security Systems position at Perimeter Security Partners?
Shore Systems is seeking a motivated Access Control/ CCTV Wiring Technician with strong Low Voltage and Networking Installation experience to maintain and repair access control points (ACPs), Electronic Security Systems and associated equipment throughout the United States. Well-qualified Technician candidates will have the ability to install Access Control Systems from design to implementation. Strong proficiency to diagnose, conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on various Intrusion Detection Systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems at industrial, commercial, government and military sites.
Shore Systems has a robust maintenance and service team with seasoned lead technicians available for troubleshooting and support, with the goal of minimizing client system down time by providing quality technical support and customer service in a timely manner. The Field Technician will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Duties
The Technician must be able to work independently and multi-task with little supervision, and to be a positive representative for Shore Systems with clients.
Diagnose and repair various Burglar Alarm Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.
Install, repair, and maintain security systems, perform regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
Diagnose problems with computerized systems and determine if you can fix a problem – and then perform repairs.
Excellent communication skills are required to provide daily reports on equipment conditions, services performed, and additional work needed in a timely manner.
Individuals must develop and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to multi-task, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, procedures, and policies.
Good customer service and communication skills, along with strong written and oral communications are necessary. Dedication to timeliness is a must, as well as always representing the company with a positive attitude. If you cannot be on time to a job site, this is not the position for you.

Requirements, Skills, And Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the installation of network wiring and access control/ CCTV equipment.
- Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the required duties.
- A strong background in the installation and repair of Access Control, CCTV, Burglar Alarms, and Network Wiring is preferred.
- Manufacturer’s certifications are desired but not required.
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude with diverse co-workers and clients.
- Ability to read schematics and single-line drawings.
- Ability to cut in a door strike and magnetic lock.
- Knowledge to wire, program and test intrusion alarms.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting DVR/ CCTV systems.
- IT/ Networking Experience is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have your own tools and arrive at the jobsite fully prepared for your scope of work.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to waist level.
- Daily travel to work sites throughout the Tri-State area. Typical work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday – Friday.
- Occasional Weekend, Overnight shift and On-call hours may apply (25% travel)

- Full Time / Hourly Pay ($34 - $38/ hourly based on experience, plus per diem)
