Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Technology Services (TS), the Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing TMC’s IT infrastructure, applications, and end-user systems to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance technology operations. Collaborating with other TS team members and external vendors, the administrator provides proactive management and responsive support, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing upgrades, and enforcing security best practices to safeguard organizational data and systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies, and manage accounts, identities, and access.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications, including managing virtualization platforms and cloud services.
- Install, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, and remote access systems to ensure reliable network performance and connectivity across TMC campus.
- Maintain and support security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, patch automation, MDR, PAM, and Human Risk Management platforms.
- Provide technical support for escalated issues related to systems, networks, enterprise applications, telecommunications, and end-user technologies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, support escalations, and maintenance following established standards and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations (such as PCI DSS), and audit requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in systems administration, network management, or infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience in resolving technical issues across systems, networks, telecommunications, and end-user technologies.
- Proficiency in administering Windows OS and macOS.
- Skilled in managing enterprise infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies, identity and access management, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat mitigation, along with experience using preventive measures such as vulnerability management, patch automation, MDR, PAM, and Human Risk Management platforms.
- Working knowledge of PBX systems, including hardware-based, VoIP, and cloud-hosted solutions with call routing, voicemail, and call center features.
Desired Skills
- Experience in the performing arts or nonprofit sector is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A , CompTIA Network /Security , CCNA, or similar credentials are preferred.
- Working knowledge of PCI DSS compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Working knowledge of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, ticketing, fundraising, and security department systems.
- Familiarity with audio/video infrastructure and related applications.
Salary
This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive annual salary range of $86,940.00-$105,840.00 along with a comprehensive total rewards package. Schedule
This position is scheduled for 35 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours may be adjusted as necessary to accommodate special events and business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends. The Music Center currently operates under a hybrid work model, combining remote work with designated onsite team days. Onsite, in-person attendance is required to support live events. This work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and the responsibilities of the position.
