Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Location: Somerset, NJ

Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person

Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends)

Position Mission

Deliver exceptional front-line service and administrative support that ensures a smooth, welcoming, and effective patient experience from check-in to check-out.


Position Objectives

  • Serve as the first point of contact and a consistent resource for patients throughout their care journey
  • Ensure all administrative processes are carried out efficiently, accurately, and with compassion
  • Promote organizational excellence through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and patient-centered service
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to streamline patient care
  • Uphold the values and brand of Performance Ortho in every interaction


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients with professionalism, empathy, and a welcoming demeanor
  • Accurately manage patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances
  • Respond to patient inquiries in person, by phone, or email in a timely and respectful manner
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate communication between patients, clinical teams, and external providers when needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and enhance the patient experience
  • Support other administrative duties as assigned by clinic leadership


Education and Experience

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or healthcare administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical office software systems

Preferred:

  • Experience in a medical or clinical office setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
