Laser Programmer Operator

Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking a Laser Programmer/Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting equipment. The Laser Programmer is also responsible for making sure all work is done to specification. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesUtilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirementsPerforms visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specificationsProgram and maintain current file revisions of all client partInterpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/CAM softwareWork with clients’ engineersReverse engineer parts for manufacturingMake machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost-effective mannerPrepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheetsMaintains the Laser and reports any maintenance issues Consults with management to resolve manufacturing or assembly problemsWillingness to actively participate in all aspects of production when and where needed Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered toPerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year programming lasers for sheet metal fabricationKnowledgeable of the properties of materials and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and toolingCapable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovation to economically solve production problems in a timely mannerAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Inventor, SolidWorks, CAMWorks and a computerized nesting software like SigmaNESTAbility to understand G Codes including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot program and machine issuesExcellent multi-tasking ability, attention to detail and critical thinking Ability to work overtime when necessary to complete priority jobs BenefitsPivotal Health Solutions offers a complete benefits package including 401K, paid time off, paid holidays and healthcare benefits.
