Job Description
PCI is seeking an entry-level hourly Project Assistant for its PCI Kansas City operations based in Cedar Rapids, IA.
- Inputting project information into Excel and Bluebeam
- Create and manage punch lists
- Assist with the preparation RFI’s and submittals
- Assist with managing labor control on the project
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for material ordering
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence
- Track and cost-value material handling
- Currently enrolled student or graduate of the following: Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or comparable degree
- Work authorization
- Must have a reliable source of transportation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
- Customer service skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- Experience with Interior Wall Systems and working towards college degree
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Bluebeam, and Procore
