About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Public Relations Assistant to support our public relations and communications efforts. This role involves working closely with the PR team to execute strategies that enhance our brand's reputation, engage audiences, and promote our initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and has a passion for storytelling and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Monitor and compile media coverage reports, including tracking brand mentions and public sentiment.
- Coordinate press events, including logistics and attendee management.
- Maintain and update media contact databases and distribution lists.
- Support social media activities, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather content for PR materials.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing PR calendars, and processing invoices.
- Provide support during crises by assisting with rapid communication efforts.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) and social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus.
