Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and prep stations safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or modifications based on customer preferences.
- Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Follow food safety management practices, including proper sanitizing of surfaces and utensils.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely pizza preparation and delivery to guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles, especially in pizza making or fine dining environments.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety sanitizing procedures and handling techniques.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as pizza ovens, mixers, and knives.
- Familiarity with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and high-volume production processes.
- Background in catering or restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in grilling, braising, poaching, or other culinary techniques are a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
