Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Dishwasher to anchor our kitchen during our busiest evening and weekend hours. You will be responsible for washing and sanitizing all dishware, glassware, silverware, and pots/pans, as well as closing down the dish station safely at the end of the night. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen health, enabling us to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while contributing to a lively hospitality setting.
Duties
- Scrape, sort, and run dishware, utensils, and cookware through the industrial dish machine or via hand-washing.
- Hand-wash delicate items, large pots, cutting boards, and kitchen tools.
- Restock clean dishes, glasses, and equipment quickly in service and prep areas.
- Empty trash cans, break down cardboard, and keep the dumpster area clean.
- Execute closing procedures: sweep, mop, and sanitize the kitchen floors, dish pit, and surrounding work areas at the end of the night.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep or heavy cleaning tasks as needed.
- Comply with all local health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be fully available for evening and weekend shifts
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Basic understanding of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting busy restaurant operations
- Comfortable working in a hot, humid, fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
