PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring Traveling Detention Equipment Installers to work on new and occupied jails and courthouses. This is a hands-on installation position involving locks, doors, windows, frames, hollow metal walls, metal ceilings, and detention furniture.
Schedule: Travel day 8 ten-hour shifts travel day home, followed by 4 days off
Company provides hotel accommodations $50 a day per diem for days worked
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs
Responsibilities:
- Install detention equipment on active construction sites
- Use hand and power tools
- Read blueprints and construction drawings
- Plumb and install door frames
- Perform physically demanding work and travel to project locations
- Skilled labor, construction, or installation experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints
- Detention equipment, welding, or carpentry experience is a plus
- Physically capable of working on active construction sites
- Willing and able to complete a background check
- Must provide your own work boots and work pants
- Must be willing to travel and work the 10 days out / 4 days home rotation
- Candidates located near the mobilization area are preferred
