Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Inside Sales Representative to support a growing distribution operation in Franklin, Indiana. This role is responsible for assisting customers, preparing quotes and orders, and serving as a key sales resource within the branch.

Essential Functions
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sales & Customer Support
- Assist walk-in and call-in customers with product selection, pricing, and order placement
- Prepare accurate quotes, sales orders, invoices, and customer returns
- Proactively follow up on quotes, open orders, and customer inquiries
- Manage complex or higher-value customer accounts and sales opportunities
- Resolve customer issues and provide timely, solution-oriented support
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and application requirements
- Maintain professional communication with customers in person, by phone, and via email
Operational & Team Support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
- Support inventory flow and order processing activities
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve sales efficiency and customer experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in industrial, construction, distribution, or related industries
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Mechanical and technical aptitude preferred
- Ability to learn product lines and applications quickly
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Sage) preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
