Baler Operator Job Summary:
Responsible for operating and monitoring industrial baling equipment to safely and efficiently process recyclable and plastic materials. Performs routine inspections, equipment adjustments, material handling, and quality checks while maintaining a clean and organized production area.
- Pay: $17.00
- Available Shifts:
- Monday – Friday 6am – 330pm
- Monday – Friday 330pm – 11pm
- Operate and monitor industrial balers and related production equipment.
- Feed, sort, and move recyclable materials into designated processing areas.
- Ensure materials are properly compacted, baled, secured, and prepared for storage or shipment.
- Monitor equipment for jams, malfunctions, or unusual operating conditions and report issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate production or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Work as part of a production team to meet daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Safely operate material-handling equipment as authorized and trained.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a baler, compactor, recycling equipment, or other industrial machinery.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, recycling, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and moving materials.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
