SR. IT AUDITOR (CYBER) | LARGE PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM | $60-$70 PER HOUR(W2) | DURATION - 8 MONTHS | DETROIT (HYBRID)

Client: Large Public Accounting Firm (NOT KPMG)

Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid onsite)

Position: Sr Associate (IT Audit)

Pay: $65-$70 per hour (W2) 1.5x(Overtime)

Duration: 8 Months

Cyber Risk Senior Associate

We’re seeking a Cyber Risk Senior Associate to join a dynamic and fast-growing cybersecurity team. This role focuses on helping organizations assess, enhance, and manage their cybersecurity posture by delivering risk assessments, control testing, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity control testing and evaluate program maturity against industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Support cybersecurity audits and compliance reviews aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Perform cyber risk and threat assessments, and assist in developing remediation strategies.
• Provide recommendations and roadmaps to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and present findings.
• Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in consulting or a client-facing role.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Risk assessments and cybersecurity program evaluations
• Security control testing (design and operating effectiveness)
• Cybersecurity audits and regulatory compliance
• Implementation of frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls
• Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
