Now Hiring: Special Education Teacher – Colorado Springs, CO
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive educational team in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the 2026–2027 school year.
📍 Location: Colorado Springs, CO
📅 Start Date: July 27, 2026
⏳ Contract Duration: 42 Weeks
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
💲 Pay Rate: Up to $55 per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Provide specialized instruction to elementary-aged students with autism and diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student success
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and positive classroom management techniques
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Active Colorado Teaching License with Special Education endorsement, or proof of application for licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting preferred
- Understanding of autism spectrum disorders, communication challenges, and behavior support strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
