Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

JOB TITLE: Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Injection Molding Supervisor

Location: Injection Molding Department

JOB SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is to maintain and repair all production equipment in the Molding Area. Determine repairs necessary to restore the equipment to full production, tear down, repair and reassemble. Render preventative maintenance; follow instructions and prescribed routines. Inform Supervisor of any issues.

Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines to ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Molding Team to identify and implement improvements in machine performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate machine and equipment records.
• Provide emergency/breakdown repairs for injection molding and auxiliary equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication.
• Must possess the ability to learn and retain.
• Must be able to problem solve and be quick thinking.
• Basic Math Skills required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or overtime as required.
• Ability to learn to operate a forklift. Certification or Prior experienced preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in injection molding maintenance or similar field.
  
  
  

Work Environment: This job works in a manufacturing environment, using various molding /production equipment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for the entire shift, as well as the ability to bend, twist, push, pull, grasp, and lift material 50 lbs. or more.
