Job Title: Purchasing Intern

To assist the purchasing department in administrative and operational tasks, ensuring
efficient procurement processes and supplier coordination at all Shelbyville sites at

What you will do:
- Support in placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers to ensure quality and cost-
- Help maintain and update purchasing records using tools like Excel and ERP
- Collaborate in managing inventory levels and restocking schedules.
- Assist in resolving supplier inquiries and discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of procurement reports and analyses.
- Participate in maintaining and organizing purchasing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and standards.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of required items.
- Compare and analyze supplier quotes to achieve optimal pricing and quality.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure consistent and reliable
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishments to prevent operational
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Expedite orders and resolve delivery or shipment discrepancies.
- Support buyers in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Active student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under supervision.
- Availability to work part-time during school hours.
