School-Based Health Center Psychotherapist

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is seeking a licensed Therapist (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) to join our growing School-Based Health Center team in Bangor, Maine.

About the Role
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Primarily on-site within the Bangor School District
Based at either James F. Doughty Middle School or William S. Cohen Middle School, with occasional coverage at other schools in the district
You’ll play a key, foundational role in a growing mental health program, providing care directly where students spend most of their day.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and/or group therapy to students
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team across PCHC
Partner closely with school staff and fellow School-Based Health Center clinicians
Support timely access to care, continuity of care, and whole-child wellness
Qualifications
Licensed LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (independent licensure required, conditional licenses not eligible at this time)
Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
Passion for supporting children and adolescents
Strong collaboration and communication skills
