    Position: Executive Assistant
    Personnel Category: Confidential

    Immediate Supervisor: Central Office Administrator

    Job Summary:
    Provide a high level of administrative support to the general operations of the district. Below are the key performance standards required to successfully perform the job. The job tasks will be refined based on the strengths of the individual, the skill set of other team members, as well as the needs of the District.

    Qualifications:
    • Education: High School Graduate – Minimum, preferably supplemented by relative experience and/or post-secondary education
    • Experience: Successful experience in office operations and work

    Key Performance Standards:
    • Perform work systematically, consistently, and in an organized fashion with close attention to detail
    • Demonstrate the ability to accurately record and maintain financial data
    • Create mathematical computation with accuracy
    • Demonstrate ability to reconcile data, while detecting errors and discrepancies
    • Demonstrate ability to analyze data
    • Research and reconstruct financial transactions
    • Perform various tasks and demonstrate ability to handle daily interruptions with competing priorities
    • Utilize problem solving strategies to resolve stakeholder concerns
    • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Ability to navigate multiple and integrated information system software
    • Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders both verbally and written
    • Demonstrate adherence to policy and procedures
    • Evaluate and develop workflow processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Demonstrate appropriate conflict resolution strategies
    • Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality


    Position Specifications

    Physical Demands
    Often sitting at desk for extended periods.
    Standing for limited periods of time.
    Moderate lifting from 15-30 pounds.
    Some carrying – up to 30 pounds.
    Manual dexterity to use office equipment.
    Repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding.

    Sensory Abilities
    Visual acuity to read correspondence, computer screen.
    Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone.
    Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.

    Work Environment
    Generally, office setting year around.

    Temperament
    Ability to work as a member of a team.
    Ability to respond positively under stressful work situations.
    Must be courteous, respectful and efficient.
    Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented, and promote these qualities in
    the department.
    Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.

    Cognitive Ability
    Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
    Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
    Ability to read, write and do complex computations.
    Ability to use correct grammar, sentence structure and spelling.

    Ability to operate office equipment and use computer technology efficiently; including MS Windows 360 Suite & Zoom.
    Must appropriately handle confidential information.

    Ability to use AV equipment for group meetings, presentations; overheads, projectors,
    video equipment.

    Terms of Employment

    Twelve (12) months.
