Job Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Desk: Greeting customers, checking them in/out, answering phones, and providing updates on repair status.
Scheduling: Managing the shop calendar to schedule vehicle repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Administrative Tasks: Handling data entry, filing, sorting mail, and scanning/faxing documents.
Invoicing & Billing: Creating repair orders, managing invoices, and processing payments (cash/check/credit).
Parts & Inventory Support: Assisting with ordering parts, tracking inventory, and communicating with vendors.
Shop Support: May assist with basic shop tasks during busy periods, such as cleaning, moving vehicles, or running errands to pick up parts.
Qualifications & Skills;Experience: 1–2 years of office experience, preferably in an automotive setting.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with computers and POS systems; experience with auto shop software like ShopPro and ALLDATA is highly preferred but not required.
Multitasking: Ability to manage phones, customers, and data entry simultaneously.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for explaining repairs and updating customers , and verbal communication to the service team.
Organization: Highly organized to handle paperwork, parts invoices, and electronic service records.
Licensure: A valid driver’s license is often required for moving customer vehicles. WV Specific Needs: Positions may involve working with WV state inspection records.
Environment: Fast-paced; requires working well within a small, tight-knit team.
Hours: Monday - Friday ( 8am - 5pm)
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
