At the forefront of medical discovery as it relates to understanding the causes of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and dementia, Pennington Biomedical Research Center is a campus of Louisiana State University and conducts basic, clinical and population research. The Center includes Basic Science, Clinical Research, and Population and Public Health, enabling both focused research and translational science. Research at Pennington Biomedical is supported broadly by multiple NIH Research Centers, and includes approximately 65 faculty and 20 postdoctoral fellows who comprise a network of 44 laboratories and 13 highly specialized core service facilities. Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Research Project Manager in Population and Public Health working directly with the Greaux Healthy Program.
Greaux Healthy is a new prevention and treatment initiative aimed at combatting childhood obesity by leveraging state funding to attract outside grants and create an integrated network of evidence–based obesity treatment and prevention programs for children.
The Project Manager for the Greaux Healthy childhood obesity program will track and manage particularly complex projects from pre- to post- award. The incumbent will be a resource to the Greaux Healthy Director and the lead of identified special projects to help with facilitation, efficiency, reporting of progress, and identifying barriers to ensure these projects stay on target.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple awarded projects post-award, including tracking project milestones and budgetary spending.
- Assist with project start-up/pre-award with administrative team (i.e., help with forms, budgets, identifying key personnel, setting up team meetings, training, etc.).
- Report project progress to the Greaux Healthy Director, the Greaux Healthy Advisory Board, and others as necessary.
- Report any issues and plan for corrective action with the project lead.
- Assist with regulatory/IRB submissions.
- Assist in writing grant applications and contributing to support documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health science field
- Previous research experience as a study coordinator or research support staff
- Ability to work in a team environment, but can also work independently
- Proficient writing skills with ability to assist and execute reports to leadership
- Master's degree in a health science field
- Experience managing research studies
