About the Role:
As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging, industry-relevant instruction via lecture and demonstration. Major topics covered being: medical terminology, A&P, clinical procedures, vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, and EKGs.
Key Responsibilities for Medical Assistant Instructors
· Deliver Hands-On Instruction: Teach practical hands-on skills used in the medical assistant field to ensure students gain real-world experience and skills to bring to the work force.
· Teach Accredited Curriculum: Instruct/lecture students using the Pennco Tech accredited day to day curriculum, ensuring comprehensive understanding of course topics
· Promote Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Emphasize the importance of workplace safety and adherence to industry standards and regulations, preparing students for real world application
· Encourage Student Development: Inspire students to maintain professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
· Assess and Provide Feedback: Monitor student progress through evaluations and offer constructive feedback to support their academic and professional growth, and provide tutoring
· Administrative- Start and end class on time, adhere to exam schedule, accurately maintain attendance, and grades.
· Prepare for Career Readiness: Equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful and rewarding career in the medical industry.
Position Requirements:
· 2 years’ practical work experience as a Medical Assistant in any setting
· Medical Assistant Certification (NHA preferred)
· High School Diploma/GED
· Great Communication Skills
· Proficient in technology
· Teaching experience, a plus but NOT necessary
