Summary:
- The Intake Supervisor will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Intake and Authorization Team daily operations and workflow. They will be accountable for the accuracy of intake and authorization processes that drive Revenue Cycle Management, including insurance verification, benefit investigation, authorization investigation and authorization tracking processes.They will be responsible for effectively leading and motivating a team with diverse skills and backgrounds. In addition, they will partner with other Penn Medicine at Home departments and leaders in building strong relationships to meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manages non-clinical support functions and teams
- Collects/compiles data and statistics for reports and correspondence as needed to support operations and Penn Medicine at Home Leadership team
- Foster teamwork though recruitment and retention, performance management, and staff development, including conducting annual review to access employee ability to achieve goals and benchmarks set for them as well as assisting in the design and execution of the competency program
- Ensures patient/customer/family confidentiality and respect
- Primary liaison to corporate billing department for claims resolution
- Manage external third party vendor relationships for authorization for service and payment collections
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
- And 5 years Relevant work experience with progressive responsibilities in a position)s) held with demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Supervisory experience preferred
