County Casework Supervisor, Intake

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a County Casework Supervisor, you will be providing a complete range of intake management and social services to children, youth, and families throughout Wayne County. You will be responsible for supervising caseworkers in the Intake Unit, completing performance evaluations, and monitoring the unit staff to ensure services are provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Work involves daily hands-on operation of the Intake Unit in absence of caseworkers, including carrying a direct service caseload. You will have the opportunity to provide training to new and existing caseworkers, ensuring all of the agency's policies and procedures are consistently communicated and applied. In this role, you will also be tasked with contributing to the development of the annual plan, collecting data and statistics, analyzing information, and preparing written documentation for review by supervisory and administrative personnel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. You will be required to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on rotating basis. Work schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

• Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
