The role of Intake Specialist is to ensure potential clients are registered and meet the criteria to receive services through CCMHMR. This person is in charge of ensuring the prompt scheduling of evaluations. Participates and collaborates in the intake process of the agency programs.

The role of Intake Specialist is to ensure potential clients are registered and meet the criteria to receive services through CCMHMR. This person is in charge of ensuring the prompt scheduling of evaluations. Participates and collaborates in the intake process of the agency programs.
Essential Core Functions And Responsibilities
- Regularly communicates and collaborates with all agency programs who have identified potential consumers in need of mental health services.
- Process all referrals for children services
- Responsible for running EVS to check eligibility and then registering the client in Credible as well as updating the contacts section.
- Schedule the intake appointment.
- Contacts family via telephone as well as mail correspondents concerning the evaluation appointment.
- Coordinate with program directors and inform them of any scheduled evaluation for consumers with in their program.
- Coordinate with the transportation department to ensure clients are set for transportation to and from the evaluation.
- Ensure consumers are enrolled properly (with updated and current information) in the Credible system.
- Schedule the evaluations for no shows as well as contact the family.
