QUALIFICATIONS :
Healthcare and/or Law Enforcement background preferred
Emergency Management Experience Preferred
- PURPOSE OF JOB : The Manager of Security Operations will be directly responsible to the Security Director. It is the responsibility of the Manager to assist in maintaining a safe, secure environment for Patients, Visitors, Associates, Volunteers, and Medical Staff and to enhance communication and provide immediate response to facility needs. The Manager, through the Shift Supervisors, will assist in providing supervision and leadership of the Security Department and will assist in overseeing the Environmental safety of the Hospital, and as needed, the Doylestown Health Physician and Outpatient offices.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Knowledge of Security Regulatory Code, including, but not limited to: NFPA, DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA
- Perform Supervisory responsibilities for security shift supervisors and security officers as well as the ability to demonstrate all skills required for those positions. (See Job Description for Security Shift Supervisor and Security Officer).
- Perform education to all Hospital staff on safety and security issues.
- Oversees Courier, Transport and Entrance Screener/Concierge services for the hospital.
- Assist in verifying and issuing electronic access to secure areas within the hospital.
- Oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate 7 day/24-hour security coverage for the hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education: Bachelors of Science preferred; college courses beneficial. Preferred in field of Safety/Environmental Management
- Experience: Safety experience or knowledge base in safety preferred
Healthcare and/or Law Enforcement background preferred
Emergency Management Experience Preferred
- Other Skills: Leadership, Teaching, Proven ability to learn new skills and regulatory codes and standards.
