Part-Time: 25-30 hours per week (approximately 5-hour days Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays)

Times News Media Group is seeking a friendly and reliable Administration Assistant to help with a variety of tasks within our circulation department as well as interdepartmentally. Once fully trained, this agent will have the ability to work from home up to two days per week.


Tasks include handling inquiries about subscriptions, resolving delivery issues and managing customer accounts. Will also work with the advertising, marketing, editorial and distribution departments to perform a variety of tasks including social media management, retrieving news items from outside sources and event staffing.


Core responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Handle customer questions, complaints and requests via phone, email or other channels
  • Account Management: Update customer information, manage subscription changes and maintain account records
  • Order and Payment Processing: Take orders for subscriptions, process payments and handle receipts
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues such as missed deliveries or billing errors
  • Providing Information: Provide details about newspaper products and services, including digital offers

Typical Daily Circulation Department Tasks

  • Answering customer calls or emails regarding their accounts or delivery
  • Coordinating with delivery staff or drivers to solve delivery problems
  • Updating subscriber lists and processing renewal information
  • Handling administrative tasks such as data entry and paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Typical interdepartmental tasks

  • Facebook posts
  • Court news processing
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
  • Friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Computer Skills that include proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs
  • Familiarity with Social Media platforms
  • Knowledge of the newspaper's products and services preferred
  • Strong Customer Service Skills - in person and over the phone
  • Strong Communication Skills - Oral and Written
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Ability to be detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
