Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a deep understanding of construction management software and technical drawings. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate multiple trades, manage crews, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and project specifications.
Duties
- Lead daily on-site operations, supervising construction crews and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Projects or other construction scheduling tools, coordinating activities across multiple teams.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Enforce OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for compliance with specifications, schematics, and safety standards; conduct regular site audits.
- Coordinate construction schedule activities with subcontractors and suppliers to prevent delays; supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics for clarity.
- Manage project documentation including, RFIs (Requests for Information), daily reports, and safety records.
- Supervise crew management activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and resolving on-site issues promptly.Experience
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management roles with a strong background in supervising large-scale fueling projects.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations as well as federal and local construction safety standards; experience implementing safety programs on-site.
- Prior success leading teams in a construction management capacity with excellent communication skills for effective management oversight.
