Position Summary:
The parking attendant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences from the moment they arrive. A friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to efficiently manage parking operations all contribute to the smooth and organized functioning of our resort's arrival process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet arriving guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting them with parking and providing necessary information about the resort's amenities and services.
· Direct vehicles to appropriate parking spaces, ensuring efficient use of available parking areas.
· Maintain a neat and organized parking area, ensuring that traffic flow is smooth and safe for both pedestrians and vehicles.
· Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and belongings as needed.
· Communicate effectively with other resort staff members, including front desk personnel, valets, and security, to ensure a coordinated approach to guest services.
· Provide accurate information regarding resort activities, events, and dining options to guests.
· Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, escalating issues when necessary.
· Collaborate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to promptly address any parking-related cleanliness or safety concerns.
· Maintain knowledge of the resturaunt layout, parking policies, and emergency procedures.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
· Exceptional communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English.
· Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing guest needs.
· Familiarity with resturaunt amenities, local attractions, and activities to provide accurate information to guests.
· Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during high-demand periods.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required.
· Experience in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
· Must be able to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift (range from 8-12 hours).
· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
· Work environment includes a fast-paced bar setting with varying noise and temperature levels.
· Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
