What your day looks like:
- Designing and building custom test fixtures
- Planning and executing tests on Pegasus mounting hardware to validate structural performance and reliability
- Owning module certifications end-to-end, keeping Pegasus products certified with new and existing PV modules
- Helping manage certification processes with UL and other certification bodies
- Working with our outside PEs on structural reviews and certification documentation
- Working alongside our senior test engineer on test planning, execution, and reporting
What we're looking for:
- 3 years of experience in mechanical testing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach — troubleshooting a failure to root cause comes naturally to you
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for fixture and test equipment design (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for test plans, data analysis, and certification documentation
- Shop and fabrication skills — CNC, lathe, and welding experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Ability to work in-office at our Richmond, CA headquarters (required)
